A widower returns to his hometown to unearth clues about his recently departed wife’s untimely death, which may be linked to the ghost of a murdered ventriloquist.
The comedy centers on a divorcing couple, Olive (Alicia Silverstone) and Clay (Ryan Kwanten), who both want custody of their beloved dog Wesley. Things go from bad to worse as they battle it out in court.
After a breakup, Wes ends up at a remote rest stop. He finds himself locked inside the bathroom with a mysterious figure speaking from an adjacent stall. Soon Wes realizes he is involved in a situation more terrible than he could imagine.
