Space men travel to a planet ruled by expatriate Pidgeon who has built a kingdom with his daughter. Unknown to them, Pidgeon has made a discovery, and has no intention of sharing it (or his daughter!) with anyone.
After her destitute family is forced to sell her, a collie named Lassie (Pal) escapes from her new owner and begins the long trek from Scotland to her Yorkshire home.
