The film follows Chief Inspector Jules Maigret as he hunts for a serial killer who attacks dark-haired women. Using a policewoman as bait, Jules tries to lure his quarry into the open.
After moving in an empty London council estate scheduled for demolition with his father, Tommy is often waken up by strange door from the next door apartment, and one morning his mattress has been dragged to the shared wall. Soon he must confront his father’s disturbing behavior while battling an unseen force raging next door.
