The movie focuses on the madcap life of Mame Dennis, an independently wealthy woman who marries a wealthy Southern plantation owner and has to deal with his family and manages to keep things under control.
The film follows two married man and woman, Larry and Kitty, who no longer interested in their family life and want something new. In a fateful vacation, the two meet and soon are attracted to each other. However, after the vacation, they have to decide what to do with their family and their future.
