The film follows a seventeen-year-old girl- Alike who lives with her parents and younger sister. She has talent for poetry but she is a lesbian which makes her go through the ups and downs to balance her life and her family.
After moving to the United States, Nigerian immigrant Dayo (Attah) struggles to find a balance between his desire to join a college fraternity and bonding with his estranged father who is a strict pastor at a local church.
